Clams and Celery Steamed with Miso and Sake

It is a simple recipe of clams and celerysteamed with miso and sake. By adding miso, which brings a sense of ripeness and richness, it is finished with a rich and well-rounded taste. Clams and Celery Steamed with Miso and Sake

Ingredients

  • 250g/8.5fl oz calms
  • 2 ribs celery
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp ORGANIC MISO RED
  • 50ml/1.7fl oz sake
  • black pepper

Instructions

  • Soak the clalms in salt water for an hour.
  • Wash the clams by draining thesand and rubbing them together under running water.
  • Remove the thick fibers from celery and cut them into bite-size pieces.
  • Spread the celery in a saucepan and add the clams, olive oil and sake. Cover and put on medium heat and when it starts to boil, switch to low heat. Heat for about 3 minutes until the clams open, and turn off the heat. Melt in the miso, serve on a plate, pepper to taste.
