Hikari Miso Co., Ltd. launched online sales of a new offering in its “dip & spreadseries of irresistible miso-infused snacks on March 24, 2023. It is a part of the buquérico range of products offering innovative ways to enjoy fermented foods. “mackerel bagna cauda”  is now available from the official buquérico store at


The buquéricodip & spread” series of miso-infused snacks offering the perfect combination of Japanese and Western cuisine with time-honored fermentation techniques began with two products released in October 2022. These unique and enticing snacks combined rillette and corned beef with traditional Japanese ingredients such as miso, sansho pepper, and citrus fruit yuzu. The new “mackerel bagna cauda” is mixed with miso, onion, garlic, traditional Japanese shottsuru fish sauce and anchovy added to a base of mackerel, unique to buquérico bagna cauda. It is distinguished by a profound depth of flavor thanks to its original combination of ingredients, and a smooth, mousse-like texture. Ideally spread generously on your favorite vegetables and enjoyed with a relaxing glass of white or rosé wine.  A delicious complement to milder vegetables such as raw zucchini or boiled taro. “bagna cauda” may mean a heated sauce, but this mackerel bagna cauda is equally tasty warm or chilled, as a dip or a condiment.
