Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 piece (300g/11oz) Chicken breast
  • 1 cup Green peas (shelled)
  • A pinch Salt
  • A pinch Black pepper

《A》

  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 Onion (coarsely chopped)
  • 3/4 cup Rice

《B》

  • 3 tbsp SAVOURY WHITE MISO
  • 4 cups Hot water

Instructions

  • Prepare the peas by removing them from their pods. Coarsely chop the onion.
  • In a large frying pan, heat the olive oil and sauté the diced chicken breast for about 10 minutes until cooked through.
  • Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add all ingredients marked 《A》 and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring until the rice turns translucent.
  • Gradually add 《B》 — the miso dissolved in hot water — one ladle at a time, stirring constantly and allowing the liquid to be fully absorbed each time. Continue for about 20 minutes.
  • Add the cooked chicken and green peas to the pan and heat for another 2 minutes.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste, then serve warm.
