Miso Marinated Meat

Miso is very compatible with meat. This Miso Marinated Meat recipe will tenderize the meat and pull out the savoru “umami” flavors within it for a mouth-watering and satisfying meal. Use this marinade in all types of beef, pork and chicken.

  • 1 lb. 450g beef/ pork

Miso Marinade

  • tbsp red miso adjust to taste
  • ½ tbsp soy sauce
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • ¾ cup 180 ml sake or white wine (for our purposes 1 cup is equal to 240 ml)


  1. Mix all ingredients together to make the marinade.
  2. Seal the meat in a container with the marinade for at least 1 hour.
  3. Cook marinated meat in your desired fashion.

Recipe Notes

Quick Tip: For larger quantities of meat marinate for a longer period of time. Do not wash off the marinade with water, simply dab or wipe off the marinade.
