GINZA 豉 KUKI, a Japanese restaurant established by Hikari Miso Co., Ltd. is now offering the “Kenzo Estate Wine Tasting” with limited availability during dinner hours. The tasting experience includes a selection of rare wines from the renowned winery in Napa Valley, California.
Kenzo Estate Wine Tasting Experience
Guests will enjoy five varieties of rare wines served throughout the experience. It will be enhanced by ordering a seasonal course dinner featuring in-season ingredients, and each course is carefully paired with a glass of wine. The tasting is priced at 10,000 yen, while the course dinner is priced separately at 12,000 yen. (Wine tasting experience and course dinner are priced separately and do not include tax and service charges.)
Mellow, fruity, slightly acidic, and wonderfully aromatic, this elegant rosé is served during the appetizer course, starting off the experience.
Crisp acidity framed by hints of minerality, this crystal-clear white wine is paired with a specially prepared seasonal fish and a bowl of savory dashi soup for a refreshing second course.
The grapes grown for muku are cultivated in a specific plot of land able to withstand a long ripening period and are harvested late in the season resulting in a sweet, fruity white wine with mild acidity. The full-bodied, crisp muku 2019 enhances the rich layer of umami flavor when tasted with the refined sweetness and smoothness of GINZA 豉 KUKI’s famous chilled “Chawanmushi” egg custard using saikyo sweet miso and cream cheese.
Kenzo Estate’s sophisticated and refined flagship red wine has a charming bouquet evocative of ripe raspberries and rose petals layered with blackberry among other spicy aromas. This 2017 composition has a vibrantly fruity flavor with soft tannins and a delicate texture. A luxurious combination of rindo paired with the conger eel’s sweet sauce and savory sea bream dashi soup.
A special one-time limited edition wine made of 2017 harvest. The deep, concentrated fruitiness and soft tannins create a velvety suppleness resulting in a sensual flavor. Paired with the house specialty main dish for an extraordinary gourmet dining experience.
