Japanese Kaiseki Restaurant GINZA 豉 KUKI Now Open for Lunch

GINZA 豉 KUKI, a Japanese kaiseki restaurant established by Hikari Miso Co., Ltd., is now serving lunch that features a house specialty miso soup and a homemade dessert using sweetness of amazake. Dinner hours have also been extended after temporarily being shortened due to the coronavirus state of emergency. The restaurant has prepared a spacious seating arrangement that ensures social distancing.

Lunch

Business hours: 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM (Last order at 1:30 PM)

Lunch is served with miso soup, which uses naturally fermented and long-aged miso specially made once a year, and the restaurant’s original blend of rice polished several times using an ancient Japanese method. The meal concludes with a homemade dessert featuring unique sweetness of amazake – sweetness made of koji (cultured rice).

Roast Beef Lunch

2,000 yen (Tax not included)

The most popular dish. Roast beef is simmered at a low temperature and luxuriantly displayed. It is to be enjoyed with the premium soy dipping sauce.


Grilled Anago Lunch

2,000 yen (Tax not included)

Conger eel is slow-cooked until soft, grilled for a savory finish, and topped with accents of Japanese sansho pepper to whet the appetite.


Saba Miso Lunch

1,500 yen (Tax not included)

This reinvention of the traditionally simmered mackerel miso dish maintains the fish’s plump texture and fatty juices without simmering.


Seasonal Bento “Yukiyanagi”

3,000 yen (Tax not included)

A balanced assortment of stewed dishes in specialized sauces, delectable options broiled to perfection, and ingredients that taste best when deep-fried. The lunch box is served with a side of seasonal takikomi gohan (Japanese mixed rice).

Asparagus potage with white miso. The Vegan Course is free from any meat, fish, and dairy ingredients. It is also free from sugar.
