A new series of marinades from Hikari Miso Co., Ltd. will go on sale in Japan beginning on March 1, 2021. The series Misoya Master Blend, designed to make cooking more enjoyable with miso, offers two varieties: Lemon Chicken Marinade and Ginger Pork Marinade.

Misoya Master Blend – New, Fun Partnership between Miso and Cooking

Hikari Miso is releasing the miso-based Misoya Master Blend series as a menu-specific lineup with the special blend of seasonings, which is created by the company’s expert in blending miso and seasoning ingredients.

Misoya Master Blend Lemon Chicken Marinade combines mild miso with the refreshing zest of lemon. Rosemary and thyme are added to enhance the naturally delicious flavor of chicken. Misoya Master Blend Ginger Pork Marinade brings bolder-tasting miso, ginger and apple all together, accented by cinnamon to go with the sweet flavor.

The new release is to respond to the rising trend in menu-specific seasoning, also in meal kits that contain pre-portioned food for single servings. It can be gathered that there is an increase in consumer demand to provide home-cooked meals for one’s family in the midst of the busy day to day, without resorting to ready-made side dishes and frozen foods. The array of menu-specific seasoning products put out by food companies has been continuously growing, and the past year showed an 105% (*1) increase in sales.
